The moment from the debate that resonated most with me as a graduate of the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown, came with the question "How can we apply apply pressure to Russia for humanitarian issues in an effective manner without starting another Cold War?" Part of Barack Obama's answer was right on target about one of the biggest failures of the Bush administration foreign policy and intelligence gathering/interpretation:
"The other thing we have to do, though, is we've got to see around the corners. We've got to anticipate some of these problems ahead of time."
