Palin's Per Diem

Charging 312 days per diem while living at home - Is this illegal, or just UNETHICAL?

Theoretically, Palin can charge per diem because she is supposed to be in Juneau, so if she is living at home in Wasilla she is away from her station. So the state has to pay her per diem, plus the expenses of the governor's mansion in Juneau.

Do people really believe it doesn't matter if it's illegal or not because she is saving the state money??SARAH PALIN IS NOT a MAVERICK reformer! Washington Post. Further discussion, attempt at rebuttal here. (from BlogWonks, where they have a section called 'Black and Right '- one great thing about politics, this great use of language in slogans!)
